Can anyone say... Scherenschnitte ?.....Come on..say it with me.. "Sheer-en-shnit "... I found this wonderful example on my last trip to Door County... What is it? You might be asking..well, it's the wonderful German art of paper cutting! Gosh, I'm lucky if I can cut a straight line!LOL! According to one of myAntique Trader mags... it's a wonderful collectors item.
Yes, the black in this pic is ALLLL paper cutting in one piece! Isn't that amazing? The blue behind it is water colored.. it is signed by the artist as well... I want to put it in the store, but the frame it came in is kind of generic, I'm a bit afraid to try and re-frame it.. What do you think?
"Get your motor running...head out on the highway..lookin' for adventure..in what ever comes my way..BORN TO BE WILD..BORN TO BE WILD..".....LOL!! Wahoo! My scooter is done! Isn't it the most wonderful pepto bismal pink?!!!lol.. Yeah, that is the only way DH would get me on one of these things is if it was pink..well, DH had the guys at is his fave 'toy shop' { yeah, that's what I call the one stop outfit here that sells snowmobiles..anykind of motorcycle you can think of..four-wheelers..and yes scooters..} paint this blue Vino pink...
It's a ...Yamaha Vino.....I like it alot..125 cc's..yeah, that's right.. I'm going to have to get my motorcycle license!! agggh!! Well.. wish me luck!
As you can see..there are no special 'doo-dads' to let you know what kinda scooter it is.. {Uh, honey.. I think your fab bike guy dropped the ball and forgot to put the doo dads back on! } So, I'm gonna work my BellaColle' magic on it.. I already put a Junk Gypsy sticker on the front..and I think for one of my Christmas presants..I will get painted Bella on one side of the back and Colle' on the other!! Wahoo! LOL..
Yes.. it's all better now.. I got some of my technical difficulties worked out..I still have some things I want to change on this here blog..but ahhh..it feels better to get it spruced up a bit for fall!
Have a wonderful rest of the weekend everyone!

Ohhhhh dont reframe ,yikes! I use to do this art, and let me tell you once its framed, leave it alone, the paper after its been cut in this fashion is soooo delicate, it might tear right in your hands as you lift it out.Maybe get a professional framer to give it a go.

Your blog is looking oh so pretty!
I'm doing some updates to mine too, so much to do!
Right now I am working on my blogroll and as I popped over to confirm yours, I noticed you still have my old blog address in your list! I'd be ever so pleased if you wanted to update to my new one?

Hi Christine, I tried to write to you but your email bounced back saying your mailbox is full.
I'm writing because I found your blog and I'm hoping I can post photos of your pink Vino on my web site, http://scootpink.com. You can look through my site and see that many other bloggers, photographers and artists have given me permission to post their photos, paintings or other artwork on my site. You might also find some cool ideas for dressing up your "pepto" scooter!
I think your scooter will be the envy of many a Yamaha Vino owner. Even though I ride a Vespa, I belong to a women's Vino 125 scooter forum, and I know that there are a good deal of them there that would love a pink version of their scooter.
Thank you for your consideration, and congrats on the new ride!
