Long live Summer
it is upon us..the last day of Summer Vacation 2008! What did we do? hhhmmmm.. Camping, swimming.. golf outings! .. I actually finished a couple of books I've been wanting to read.. hanging out.. baseball games.. Mom got a 'big girl job'..and #1 found himself employed as well..
I got alot done this weekend and thought it would be fun to take some pictures just because..fun.. There are my hydrangeas in the front..and the 'Black eyed Susan's'..lets seee..scrumptious tomatoes from the garden..
I cherish these wonderful days of Summer..'Summer afternoon - summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language. ~Henry James'
I remember how wonderful it felt as a child during the Summer... peace.. where you could just be a kid and not worry about bed times and homework.. 'In summer, the song sings itself. ~William Carlos '
...Why can't it always be Summer? 'In June, as many as a dozen species may burst their buds on a single day. No man can heed all of these anniversaries; no man can ignore all of them. ~Aldo Leopold'
I walk without flinching through the burning cathedral of the summer. My bank of wild grass is majestic and full of music. It is a fire that solitude presses against my lips. ~Violette Leduc, Mad in Pursuit
I bid everyone a wonderful..fleeting Summers eve..Hold tight to the Summer of one's youth.. let it's warmth and joy kindle your spirits through the up coming Winter!
XO
