All I need!

Well..we are on our last day here.. part of me is doing the "happy dance" and surprisingly the other half has had lots of fun.. Really when you stop and think about it...and if you keep it simple, you really don't need alot to have a fun time! So, I will share what helped me have a memorable vacation here... { 1st need...My Angel}

{ My crocs} Okay...okay... I caved... I bought us some Crocs! It's been damp and muddy here and these shoes are the best at keep your feet dry and they easily clean up...

{ Some wonderful reading material} I've been able to sit and relax and actually read something for longer than 5 min! Lots of inspiration I will share when we get home...

{ pink strawberry marshmallows} These are scrumptious and when you make smores with them, they actually taste like strawberry/chocolate pie! yum yum!

Camping

     Well...I'm still here! We are at beautiful Pennisula State park up here in Fish Creek WI....It is amazing!

I'm not a nature girl...but this time together has been a wonderful time... Our camp site is actually right on the bay...it's been chilly..and I'm in roaming as we speak..I only have min. left on my laptop battery..

All Wet!

Oh my goodness! Everyone else drying off now?! This is the site we woke up to this morning... what a day yesterday... the one weather man on abc here was like "I feel like I'm looking at Hurricane footage" and it was only scenes from downtown!!

Look over my shoulder... {DH caught me off guard}.. it looks like we are at the shore some where! Nope..it's just my backyard here in the WI!

Friends and family that live in other states have called with concern and so I thought I'd share some pics...

This truly was this morning when I walked downstairs! This is just outside my living room window... Uhmm.. am I back on the ship?LOL! {Never you guys mind my antenna!lol}

Praise God we only had a smidge of water in the basement compared to others, the sump pumps are working overtime.

Yes, that is right...that is a 10 acre field just planted with corn under water! I feel so bad for the farmers around here...

Everyone else okay? I would love to hear some of your storm stories! If you feel like sharing..feel free to leave me a comment.. It didn't seem like we received that much rain yesterday.

Just had to share these amazing photos... now I've got to pack! We are camping tomorrow... I hope everything will be okay..no more rain PLLLEEEAASSEE! One nice thing though...DH bought me an inverter so when they are off being woodsmen..I can sit on my computer and bug you guys and blog!!lol!

A sun set...

What do you think about these pics?! They were taken by none other than #3! If only it would be this pretty here all the time.. guess what temps we are having today? 65!! Is it June or September?!!

This is the wonderful sun set we get to see every night from our front porch during Spring and Summer.. Ya know..seeing God's creation like this makes living in this frozen tundra half way worth it!!Lol! Well, seriously though, DH and I might just try and find some land here and build our own dream house.... I don't know.. the job out in Idaho fell through {the boss man couldn't wait for us...}

I'm actually going to do it guys...I'm going "Up North" this weekend! That's WI talk for going camping. It's really chilly and rainy here, I don't know if I will be able to stand it up in Door County..it's right THERE on Lake Michigan. I sure hope I can find some thrift stores/ antique stores to sneak away to and get warm and dry.

One baby step toward getting out of my comfort zone.

Happy Birthday

Well.. it's a birthday today! #1 turns 16!! Oh my...where did the time go? Just seems like yesterday he was born.... There are times I think teenagers have lost their minds..then he turns around and surprises me.. We had a wonderful dinner tonight...At his fave place "Old Chicago".. When DH comes home from work we will have a party for this guy.. 16... hmm... he's going to go and take his drivers test for his licence this Wed... OH my... I love you #1!! I pray you have many more.. Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Yay!! It's a Birthday

Yay!! Happiest of Birthdays my baby!!! You are our peace maker... our love.. you are always there to help and to give a hug!! All of 9 years old...hmmm..sometimes I think you are wise beyond your young years.... Your family looooves you!! So thankful for you.. I remember the day you were born like it was yesterday... the cord would have killed ya... you came just at the right time.... our beloved son and brother... Happy Birthday to you!! May you be blessed with many more years.

Fruits of the Spirit

Well, busy busy here... who's not right? I so wanted to get into the studio and create but I have been trying to get things into storage and 'de cluttering' as folks have suggested. I have been trying to figure out what needs to be painted and I'm concerned about if I need paint over some of the things I've done on the walls.. One thing I love, and I think I will leave is this stencil I did at the top of our living room. It's a 'Tree of Life' and I painted the 'Fruits of the Spirit' under every other one... Anyone know them? Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is... love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. I just really want to thank every body who has been visiting my blogs lately and leaving comments! You have really been making my day! Anyone ever feel 'scattered' in a million places? I do.. So much so that it is starting to affect my health...and I am so glad I just took the night to go to a Bible study with DH... So sorry for not coming to visit today.. I will try and stop in tomorrow and say "Hi".. Happy Wed... XO

Well...

Well... it's time to say good-bye to White Corners... DH and I have been thinkin' real hard for a while now.. and as much as we love White Corners.. everything has a season and well... After a long hard Winter and only increased living expenses..and 7 long years later.. White Corners is on the market. It's our year of Jubilee!

Texas is where we are searching..searching for a new home... our 'other' business allows DH to travel quite frequently through this lovely state.. #1 son is very upset.. almost to unlivable with.. but I know we will be able to find a good home and a wonderful church family to become a part of. We thought of going back to my homeland of Georgia and well, because of the water shortages and all, it would be better some where else for now...

You wonderful ones who live in this beautiful state.. I am intrigued by your homeland... I would love to hear more about it!! What makes your state the best to live in? Hey, I would love to hear what anyone has to share about your special state! Hey, you know what... what makes your country special.. Kara?

I am hopeful this Spring.. I know this year will bring change and growth!! I just love this time of year.. a time of rebirth and hope. Lets try and embrace the newness!! What are your plans for this year?
