Lost somebody extra special cause of it... We can do this.. we can be empowered! We can overcome..

I have to get my 'base line' mammogram this year... ugh..but I have family that love me and are counting on me.. so..I'll find a way to get it paid for..

Yes..Suger Pie Farmhouse is one of the lights that shine brightly in this dark world..

'Aunt Ruthie' is such an amazing lady..You will find wonderful recipes..fashion inspirations..{How about those wonderful sassy aprons! }..tales of Aunt Ruthie and her family's adventures..but most of all sound Spiritual inspiration! Every time I visit, it's as if she wrote that particular post or story for me.. I know she didn't..but God speaks to my heart through her..Thanks Ruthann! You are amazing. I always get a priority check when I visit..and I am soo thankful for that!

self portrait....

 I tell ya..my muse visits at the weirdest times! I was sitting waiting to pick up #3 from school.. was going through the mail..what's this?.. just received my 3rd rejection from Somerset... and Blam!

    I haven't heard from that sassy Muse of mine in Months!! I tell ya.. I think he went on vacation over the Holidays and forgot to tell me..Not one dream..or thought or idea lately...

okay, back to my story.. I get this rejection letter.. I just can't help it.. I have to start drawing! So I pick up the closest piece of paper and just start .. Heee's baaack... lol.. whispering in my ear.." You know.. just because some folks tell ya no... doesn't mean that I have to be quiet!.."

I just keep drawing.."Nope..not gonna do it.." I hear him say.. " Not gonna be silent.. I will sing at the top of my lungs darlin'.. no matter how hard you try and shush me.. I know there  is a part of you that wants to play with me.. come on.. we can dance all the day long!!..." he teases me... "Quiet.. I'm trying to be focus.. I don't have time for this..you haven't shown up in Months and I'm supposed to listen to you?!!" I tell him... "Hehehehehhe..." He just laughs!

So..That is what I get.. {my self portrait on the envelope..} .. I wonder if I can parler à ma muse

.. My hair is short..because I don't have the courage to cut it for real... and I've lost 10pounds..{hey, it's my self portrait..I can dream cant I?lol}

Ever talk to your Muse?... Ever make a self portrait?... As I get closer to the 4..0..{yup..I will be that this year..} I'm trying to set goals for myself.. One is tame my Muse! Ha! He's a sassy one.. but after I hang with him a bit.. I always feel better.. I soo want to spend more time with him.. but alas.. that one.. he visits when he wants.

Or maybe.. is he always here and I'm just not paying attention?..

Keep it Simple...

 In all the hubub.. I just had to say enough... when is enough..enough?!... This is my Christmas wish this year.. for you my blog friends and family..Peace..

  Our Nation...our 'times'...are soo much in turmoil... "Me..me..I ..I.." all that kinda thinking has gotten us in this mess we are in right now.. I'm guilty of it.. our family is okay.. but I do pray for those who have lost much...

That's why we have a "Charlie Brown" tree this year... I just had to say enough! Oh my goodness in years past..I had to have the biggest and fullest live tree.. coolest and fabulous decoration for the season...It's just something in my heart that has been tugging at me "Keep it simple..it's not all about that.."

  I want the Joy returned..it's not gonna be in maxing out the cards for gifts for the boys.. my goodness, I just took three bags of toys to storage! Some where.. the meaning was lost..no stuff..it's about Christ..

  I haven't pulled out every last decoration... nope there are no lights on outside... this wee tree I actually put up all by myself... there were a few protests at first..but everyone has embraced it.. We're just taking day by day... Letting the true Spirit of Christmas lead us....simple is best sometimes.. {Yeah..the boys actually think this little tree is cool. go figure?!}

Just thought I'd share this... kinda put things in perspective for me today...

Buongiorno! I  miei amici del blog!...{Good Morning! My blog friends!}.. Just wanted to share two new charms I was able to make today before having to get to work...

Back in the 'proverbial' soldering saddle! They aren't  BellaColle' quality so they wont be going in the shoppe.. but just wanted to share.. I'm going to put the Junkin' Chic in a necklace before I go to work..gotta be chic for work don't ya know!lol...

  This big guy is my first ever attempt to solder a button! A little assemblage as it were..As you can see below...the diamond glaze and the button didn't seal really well so I've got some crinklies on top...but, in my opinion..I think it adds texture!

  You know..I've not been able to sit and solder since I started back to work!! I really had fun.. And it is soo true..solder a little everyday so you don't lose your 'rhythm..'

  Well.. I'm off to work! Have a wonderful inspired day!

...Never made one.. I'm sooo happy! I did it! How do you like my mosaic? Found all these amazing photos on flickr.. There are soo many talented souls on there...It's a bit of what is on my mind tonight..family..places I've been.. values.. feelings.. pressures..where I wish I could be..How about you?

..Let's see... 20 spiral notebooks.. backpacks.. new shoes.. colored pencils.. protractor.. lunch bags..uhh, I think the kiddos are ready for next Tuesday..me, nope! School is starting already...Summer went by just too fast!

Peace In!

What is peace? Is it the outside affect that your surroundings have on you? Is it the inner situation of your heart? Can you control the 'peace' level in your life? As I'm trying to shuffle things around..continue trying to create for Bella Colle'....assimilate to my other job.. there is peace.. because...you know why? .....I'm not in control! Sounds really weird..but the "peace that surpasses all understanding' is what's goin' on here... I really don't think you can have peace if you are trying to control your surroundings...'cause folks just aren't going to behave the way you want them to.. no biggy! Stop and smell the roses just 'cause... hey... smile at the person who get's your latte for you... What simple things can you do tomarrow that help center you? Me...hmmm... enjoy... the privilege of going to a good job... relish my children's laugh... my hubby's smile...a morning latte! Silly sounding I'm sure to some but if you don't stop and focus on the 'Peace' you can have in the simple things... Your just gonna plain miss it! Peace out Bella Peeps! LOL XO
