Lost somebody extra special cause of it... We can do this.. we can be empowered! We can overcome..

I have to get my 'base line' mammogram this year... ugh..but I have family that love me and are counting on me.. so..I'll find a way to get it paid for..

'Aunt Ruthie' is such an amazing lady..You will find wonderful recipes..fashion inspirations..{How about those wonderful sassy aprons! }..tales of Aunt Ruthie and her family's adventures..but most of all sound Spiritual inspiration! Every time I visit, it's as if she wrote that particular post or story for me.. I know she didn't..but God speaks to my heart through her..Thanks Ruthann! You are amazing. I always get a priority check when I visit..and I am soo thankful for that!

Santos...

  I just got my first Santos... it came with an elaborate hand made outfit that was to make it look like Mary...{Not as beautiful as the one below} I actually took its clothes off! I love how the wood looks...

  I don't know what it is about these statues..figurines... that I like.. At first I thought it was kinda creepy, collecting these relics, but as I thought about what they stand for..the more I love them. How about you?

 { found this one one Santos Connection }               This one is of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga, 19th century Italy...."This is a rare depiction of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga. I personally cannot identify this saint nor does the previous owner who inherited it from his grandfather. His grandfather collected many santos from Europe. I identified him through research and found out that it is probably Italian. Aloysius died at a young age of 23 after serving in the plague of Milan in 1587. He vowed perpetual virginity throughout his life.
Dark, blotchy and shiny patina and excellent paint retention except for minor chips as shown on the picture. He has glass eyes which is very unique for this type of carving." -the site says...

warmth please...

I'm baAAaaaAAck! lol... Thank you to everyone who prayed for us.. Nana isn't in pain anymore..and that is what matters.. I will miss her..she was the coolest mom-in-heart..as far as I'm concerned!..

Nothing like returning home to -30 degrees f. wind chill... and a wonderful head cold..

 

AAANNNNNddd.... the connector pipe on the potty busted...

  Yeah.. I get a frantic phone call at work..first day back mind you... "Mom.. the pipe has a leak and it's spraying everywhere!..."..Uhh..did you turn the water off?...".."uh..gosh..hold on.."... Well..DH is working..so I race home from work..and get this..

While I'm trying to sop up the water.. a lovely lady from 'Midwest' calls.. see.. I've been trying to acquire those lovely creations of Wendy Addison..You know the ones..glitter to the max!! ..working my wholesale account for the shoppe...she's like "oh my gosh..do I need to let you go?!!".."No..no.. that's okay..".. I muddle through..trying to compose myself..trying to sound professional.. ha! By the time the conversation was over.. she was thinking "who is this crazy lady?!" I'm sure..I'm not crazy!... okay..maybe a little..

disaster contained.. things drying out.. Thank Heaven for HomeDepot!

Well..sorrow is here again..I'm beginning to dread Jan..... it was this time last year my Bennie passed.. Now..my beloved Mother-in-law's life is hanging by a thread...

This wonderful lady suffered a horrible aneurysm this morning... stuff is such a blurr...

We are stuck here in the WI and she is in Philadelphia.... I feel so helpless....

So..if you could please pray... oh that she would be okay! I can't focus... my love..my DH..he's away on a business trip... he's in shock too... oh that she would be okay...

*********update...1/4/09******My sweet 'mom-in-heart'..yeah..she calls me her 'daughter-in-heart'... instead of 'in law'..is breathing on her own..the family decided to take her off the ventilator.. it is defying all reason according to the doctors.. She is in God's hands.. this is such a time for us.. *********
